Dr. Debbie Wong has been in practice since 1997 after completing her doctorate from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology with a minor in Psychology by the University of Calgary.

Dr. Wong’s specialties include treating low back and neck pain, headaches, arthritis, sciatic problems, chronic foot disorders and other nerve and joint-related issues. She believes in treating patients as whole beings and in spending time with patients during every visit to assist them in achieving their overall health goals. Dr. Wong’s treatments include soft tissue therapy followed by gentle spine adjustments and extremity adjustments if needed. She will often incorporate stretching and strengthening exercises, ergonomics and nutrition counseling into patients’ treatment protocols. Referrals for massage and acupuncture are also regular components of Dr. Wong’s treatment regimens, as these therapies will help balance out the patient’s musculoskeletal system and assist in a speedier recovery. Her primary goal is to enhance the quality of life of all patients, of all ages and all health conditions.

Dr. Wong incorporates state of the art Gait Scan technology to analyze a patient’s stance and walking motion. This helps her to detect pressure points and timing abnormalities in an individual’s static and dynamic gait cycle. Correcting these issues will help to alleviate and eliminate problems higher up in the kinetic chain, such as low back pain and headaches.

Dr. Wong is one of the few Certified Animal Chiropractors in Calgary. Her pet clientele consists mainly of dogs and cats with spinal and joint disorders. Animal Chiropractic is still a relatively new field in Calgary, so feel free to contact Dr. Wong if you have any questions regarding your pet.
